Which is the right mixing tool?
--- Wire whips are for whipping and mixing pourable liquids, soft liquids, and LIGHT cake batters.
--- "COOKIE PADDLES" are for all but the stiffest cookie dough (NOT for cookies with raisins, nuts, oatmeal, etc.)
--- The Dough Hook is for all stiff stirring such as bread dough, and including cookies with raisins, nuts, oatmeal, etc.
The whisk drive that came standard on the earlier Bosch Universal mixer is the one needed for cookie paddles. The metal drive has the extra strength needed for use in cookie dough. Buying the metal whisk holder and cookie paddles packaged together makes this a real bargain.
