While turning the handle at one revolution per second, we ground hard wheat to made one cup of flour in less than 4 minutes. Simply making cracked wheat is even faster.
The Back to Basics mill handles wheat, small kernal corn, rice, oats, barley, spices, and other small seeds. We even used it to grind small beans into flour.
